Z125 (Monkey)

Introduced for the 2018 model year, this 125cc Monkey marked a modern revival of Honda’s long-running Monkey concept in larger-displacement form. Honda positioned it as a global model that carried forward the series’ defining traits—compact dimensions, simple mechanical character, and playful styling—while updating the package for contemporary road use. The model’s short, tall proportions deliberately echo the classic Monkey silhouette that made the nameplate famous, but with modern lighting, instrumentation, and a more refined chassis and engine package suited to current expectations. Rather than being a new unrelated line, it extends the Monkey heritage from Honda’s earlier 50cc leisure bikes into a worldwide 125cc format. It has remained in production as an ongoing part of Honda’s Monkey family.
