MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the VT750 (Shadow Spirit 750)

Honda introduced this 750-class Shadow cruiser for the 2001 model year as the Shadow Spirit, a more custom-styled offshoot within the Shadow family. The early run continued through 2003, after which the Spirit nameplate was dropped for 2004. Honda then brought the model back in revised form for later model years, including the VT750C2/VT750C2F Shadow Spirit 750 seen in Honda owner’s manuals from the late 2000s. Because the nameplate clearly spans more than one production period, but the exact final model year is not firmly verifiable from the available sources, the end year is left open. The Shadow Spirit occupied the middleweight cruiser space and became one of Honda’s better-known Shadow variants, bridging the line between traditional boulevard styling and the broader Shadow family’s long-running V-twin heritage.
