Honda used the Sportrax name as a sport-oriented sub-brand for its recreational ATVs in the early 2000s. It appeared when Honda was repositioning its sport quad lineup away from the older FourTrax badge and toward a more youth- and performance-focused identity. The Sportrax era is best understood as a naming phase within Honda’s ATV history rather than a single mechanical model. By the end of the 2000s, Honda gradually moved away from the Sportrax wording and standardized the lineup under TRX model names with X suffixes, such as the TRX90X and TRX250X.
