After a long gap, the name was revived for the 2019 model year as a modern two-row midsize crossover aimed at buyers who wanted a roomier, more adventure-oriented alternative to a compact SUV without stepping up to a larger three-row vehicle. The revived version marked a clear shift in character from the earlier truck-based utility, with a more contemporary crossover layout and a stronger emphasis on everyday comfort, family use, and light off-road capability. Because the nameplate was discontinued and later returned under the same marketed name, its history is split into two separate production periods rather than one continuous run.
