This CVO-badged touring model was introduced for the 2012 model year as a new Custom Vehicle Operations take on Harley-Davidson’s Road Glide Custom. It paired the Road Glide’s frame-mounted shark-nose fairing and touring layout with the CVO formula of limited-production paint, chrome and color-matched detailing, upgraded audio equipment, and other factory-custom touches aimed at riders who wanted a more exclusive bagger straight from the dealer. Harley-Davidson’s own 2012 materials described it as new to the CVO line that season, and the model also appeared in 2013, including a 110th Anniversary edition. After 2013, this exact nameplate was replaced by the CVO Road Glide Ultra, so the Road Glide Custom CVO designation did not continue as a separate continuous model line beyond those early years.
