This nameplate marks Ferrari’s late-2010s V8 mid-engine sports-car family, introduced in 2019 as the successor to the 488 GTB and 488 Spider. The range launched with the fixed-roof Tributo, followed later in 2019 by the Spider, both built around Ferrari’s then-current 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 and the company’s familiar driver-focused berlinetta layout. Ferrari presented the cars as a continuation of its long rear-mid-engine V8 tradition, with the Tributo positioned as a celebratory coupé and the Spider as the open-top counterpart for customers who wanted the same core character with a retractable hardtop. The family sat near the top of Ferrari’s series-production sports-car lineup and was noted for blending everyday usability with the sharper responses expected of a modern Maranello V8. Ferrari indicated in 2023 that shipments of both the Tributo and Spider were being completed and that the model lifecycle had come to an end, making 2023 the final model year for the nameplate.
