Introduced in 2025, this open-top special-series Ferrari is the spider counterpart to the 296 Speciale and is based on the 296 GTS. Ferrari positioned it as a more extreme, track-inspired interpretation of the 296 range, with an emphasis on sharper response, reduced weight and greater driver engagement while retaining the appeal of open-air motoring. The nameplate was launched as part of Ferrari’s modern mid-rear-engined plug-in hybrid era and belongs to the contemporary 296 family rather than an earlier standalone series. As of its introduction, it represents a current production model rather than a discontinued nameplate.
