This nameplate was used in the United States for the 2016 model year as Chevrolet’s carryover version of the original Cruze sedan. In practical terms, the Limited badge distinguished the outgoing model from the new-generation Cruze rather than representing a separate long-running subseries. For U.S. buyers, it marked the end of the original Cruze era: a familiar compact sedan retained for one final model year while Chevrolet transitioned to a newer global compact architecture.
