MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Ryker Rally Edition

This off-road-oriented Ryker variant arrived with the Ryker line’s initial 2019 model-year launch, giving Can-Am’s new 3-wheel platform a more rugged, adventure-minded personality from the start. It was created as the most dirt-capable, all-road-focused version of the Ryker family, adding Rally Mode and a package of protective and durability-minded equipment aimed at looser surfaces and rougher pavement. That positioning helped separate it from the more street-oriented Ryker trims and gave the platform a clear enthusiast halo model.

In Can-Am’s lineup, the Rally Edition has served as the Ryker’s go-anywhere expression rather than a full redesign of the vehicle. The core idea has remained consistent: a playful, easy-to-ride three-wheeler with automatic convenience, but with added suspension tuning, extra body protection, reinforced components and specialized tires to encourage exploring beyond ordinary road use. Its identity is closely tied to the original Ryker launch era, when BRP introduced the model as a youthful, customizable alternative in the on-road three-wheel category.

The nameplate has remained part of the Ryker story across subsequent model years, and it has not been documented as a discontinued-and-revived badge. Instead, it represents a continuous production trim within the broader Ryker family, associated with the model’s rugged styling and off-pavement bias from its debut onward.
