The model carried the YFZ’s high-performance identity into cross-country and woods use, and Yamaha supported it in GNCC and other off-road racing programs from the start. For 2011, Yamaha continued the nameplate with updated colors and graphics, and the model remained in the company’s sport ATV race and retail lineup. By the 2013 model year, Yamaha’s official ATV lineup had moved on to other YFZ variants, indicating that the YFZ450X nameplate had ended after a short production run.
