Over its run, the nameplate became Yamaha’s long-wheelbase, family-and-work variant in the Viking family, positioned above the standard three-seat model as the more capacity-focused option. It was sold in multiple trims over the years, including versions with power steering and later Ranch Edition variants, but the core identity stayed the same: a dependable six-person utility vehicle aimed at work sites, property use, and general off-road chores.
The model remained in Yamaha’s lineup through the 2025 model year and was announced for retirement from the side-by-side range for 2026. As a result, its production history is a single continuous run from the 2015 model year through 2025, with no separate revival period.
