This battery-electric city bus chassis was introduced in 2015 as part of Gothenburg’s ElectriCity initiative. It first entered regular traffic on route 55, where it served as a real-world demonstration of quiet, exhaust-free urban transit. The project marked an important step in the company’s electrification strategy, moving from hybrid buses toward a dedicated battery-electric platform for city use. Later electric bus developments built on that early program, making the nameplate part of the transition to zero-emission urban transport.
