The Daytona Super III was Triumph’s limited-production high-performance version of its early Hinckley-era Daytona 900. Introduced for the 1994 model year, it was developed with Cosworth Engineering and positioned as a more focused, enthusiast-oriented interpretation of Triumph’s 900cc triple sportbike. Compared with the standard Daytona 900, the Super III emphasized lighter weight, sharper tuning, and a more premium specification, making it a standout model in Triumph’s mid-1990s lineup.
The nameplate had a single, continuous production run and does not appear to have been revived later. It was offered across the 1994, 1995, and 1996 model years, giving it a relatively short but notable lifespan. Today it is remembered as one of the most distinctive and collectible early Triumph triples, representing the company’s effort to compete with higher-end European and Japanese sportbikes before the Daytona range evolved into later 955i and 675-era machines.
