Introduced for the 2001 model year, this small off-road youth motorcycle was positioned as a step-up machine for riders who had outgrown their first beginner bike. It used a simple air-cooled 79 cc two-stroke single with a five-speed manual gearbox, a combination aimed at giving younger riders an introduction to clutch and gear control without moving into a full-size machine. The chassis was deliberately compact and lightweight, with long-travel off-road suspension, drum brakes, and small-diameter wheels sized for youth trail use. In its early years, the bike was marketed with relatively little change beyond graphics updates, and it became known as a straightforward, easy-to-maintain trail model for kids learning on dirt rather than the street. It has remained part of Suzuki’s youth-oriented off-road lineup in some markets rather than being treated as a short-lived one-off model.
