MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the J1H

This Royal Enfield nameplate was introduced in late 2024 as a bobber-inspired spin on the Classic family, drawing on the custom motorcycle scene and Goan moto-culture of the 1970s and 1980s. It became the brand’s modern production expression of that laid-back, free-spirited aesthetic, with a stripped-back silhouette, low stance and vintage-flavored details rather than a conventional retro-standard profile. The model was launched at Motoverse in Goa in November 2024, making 2024 its first model year. It uses the company’s newer 350cc J-platform architecture, linking it mechanically to Royal Enfield’s current small-displacement single-cylinder range while giving the machine a distinct bobber character. As of now, it remains in production, so there is no confirmed final model year.
