Bullet

The Bullet nameplate first appeared in 1932, when Royal Enfield introduced it as a new motorcycle line in the UK. Early Bullets established the model’s long-running character with a focus on durability and everyday usability, and the range was notably revised after World War II, including the important 1948 update that brought rear swinging-arm suspension. In the 1950s, production for the Bullet shifted to India, where the model became deeply associated with Royal Enfield’s identity and with Indian motorcycling culture. UK production ended in 1970, but the Bullet nameplate itself continued without interruption in India, making it one of the brand’s most enduring models. Over the decades the Bullet evolved through successive engine and chassis updates while keeping its classic, old-school look and reputation for simplicity. In recent years it has remained on sale as the Bullet 350, preserving the familiar nameplate while updating the mechanical package for modern use.
