Park Ward

This late Rolls-Royce nameplate was applied to a long-wheelbase chauffeur-focused derivative of the Silver Seraph, introduced for the 2000 model year as a more formal, rear-seat-oriented companion to the standard car. It carried the Park Ward name to evoke the marque’s coachbuilt heritage, but in this era it was part of Rolls-Royce’s final pre-Goodwood production period rather than a traditional bespoke body-on-chassis commission. The car was conceived for clients who wanted the Silver Seraph’s modern BMW-era V12-based engineering in a more expansive and stately format, with greater emphasis on rear cabin comfort and presence. Production continued only briefly, ending in 2002 alongside the Silver Seraph line as Rolls-Royce’s ownership and model range were transitioning to the BMW-led Goodwood era. As a result, this is one of the shortest-lived modern Rolls-Royce nameplates, and it occupies an important place in the brand’s history as the final expression of the old Crewe-era luxury saloon formula.
