MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the RZR XP 4 Turbo S Velocity

Polaris introduced this four-seat RZR as part of its high-performance Turbo S lineup for the 2019 model year, adding the Velocity appearance package alongside the standard XP 4 Turbo S. The Velocity version was presented as a special trim and paint treatment rather than a separate mechanical family, but it remained an official marketed nameplate in Polaris literature. It continued into the 2020 model year, appearing in Polaris owner’s manuals and lineup pages. After 2020, Polaris shifted to a revised Turbo S 4 naming convention for the 2021 model year, and the XP 4 Turbo S Velocity nameplate did not continue under that exact form. Enthusiast interest in the model centers on its place in the late-2010s evolution of Polaris’s 72-inch-wide sport side-by-side range, when the company was expanding the RZR Turbo S platform with both standard and appearance-focused variants.
