Introduced for the 1974 model year, this full-size SUV was the brand’s light-truck answer to the growing four-wheel-drive recreation market. It was closely related to Chrysler’s other full-size SUV of the era and shared its basic truck-based architecture, giving buyers a rugged two-door utility vehicle with removable top panels and a distinctly conservative, family-market orientation. As the only SUV ever sold under this badge, it stood out as an unusual entry in the brand’s lineup and has become a notable curiosity among Mopar enthusiasts. Production continued through the 1981 model year, after which the nameplate was discontinued and never revived.
