Moto Guzzi introduced this cruiser-oriented 750 nameplate for the 1991 model year as part of its effort to offer a lower, more approachable custom machine alongside the larger California line. The early motorcycles used the brand’s familiar transverse V-twin and established the Nevada as a relaxed, entry-level Guzzi with classic styling, shaft drive, and a distinctly Italian take on the American cruiser formula. Over the years the line evolved through several clearly related stages rather than a series of separate revivals, including Nevada Club, Nevada Classic, and later special-edition versions such as Anniversario and Aquila Nera.
A major update arrived in the 2000s with the Nevada Classic IE, which brought a more modernized chassis and fuel-injected powertrain while keeping the model’s low-seat, easygoing character. In the early 2010s the nameplate was refreshed again around Moto Guzzi’s revised small-block 750 engine family, and the bike continued as a familiar cruiser with updated styling cues and limited special editions. Factory price lists still carried the Nevada Classic and Nevada Aquila Nera in 2015, indicating the final phase of the model’s life before it was phased out. The Nevada 750 became one of Moto Guzzi’s most recognizable lightweight customs, valued for its simplicity, approachable ergonomics, and long-running place in the company’s modern history.
