For the first production run, the 790 Adventure was sold through the 2019 and 2020 model years.
The nameplate then disappeared from the lineup for a short period as KTM reshaped its middleweight adventure range. KTM later brought the 790 Adventure back for the 2023 model year, describing it as a revival of the original concept rather than an all-new model. The revived version was redesigned in Austria and built through KTM’s production partnership with CFMOTO in China, reflecting KTM’s broader global manufacturing strategy. That comeback continued with updated 2024 and 2025 model-year versions, keeping the nameplate active in KTM’s travel lineup.
