The Story of the MULE PRO-F

This nameplate entered Kawasaki’s MULE Pro side-by-side lineup for the 2016 model year as a full-size, three-passenger utility/recreation machine. It was positioned between Kawasaki’s smaller MULE utility models and the more flexible Trans Cab variants, giving buyers a straightforward cargo-and-work oriented option without the convertible seating system used on the larger family members. Kawasaki’s own model-history pages place the introduction of the MULE PRO-FX in 2016, and official Kawasaki parts and accessory listings show the model running through 2023. After that, Kawasaki’s lineup shifted to revised Pro-FX 820 and Pro-FX 1000 models, which superseded the original nameplate rather than extending it unchanged. The model became known as one of Kawasaki’s core full-size MULE Pro work vehicles, sharing the family’s emphasis on durability, practical cargo capability, and all-day utility. In enthusiast and fleet use, it served as the simpler, fixed-bed counterpart to the more configurable Pro-FXT, and it helped establish the Pro series as Kawasaki’s premium utility side-by-side range before the lineup was refreshed for the 2024 model year.
