MULE 3010

Kawasaki introduced the 3010 nameplate for model year 2001 as part of its 3000 Series MULE lineup, marking a major update in the brand’s utility-vehicle history. The new family adopted truck-like styling, improved ergonomics, and a modern CVT-based drivetrain layout, giving Kawasaki’s work-oriented side-by-side line a more refined and more versatile feel than earlier MULEs. The 3010 quickly became one of the core names in the lineup because it sat at the center of the range: rugged enough for farm, industrial, and hunting use, but more comfortable and flexible than the older, simpler utility machines that preceded it. Over the years, the 3010 badge covered several closely related versions, including 4x4 and diesel derivatives, and later the four-passenger Trans4x4 configuration, which added convertible seating for crews that needed to alternate between passenger and cargo duty. Kawasaki also used the platform to expand into specialty and appearance packages for certain markets. The 3010 line remained on sale through model year 2008, after which Kawasaki moved on to the later 4010 generation. Within the MULE family, the 3010 is remembered as the model that helped define the brand’s early-2000s workhorse identity and bridge the gap between the original compact MULEs and the more advanced utility vehicles that followed.
