This was Kawasaki’s factory supermoto-style member of the KLX250 family, aimed at riders who wanted a more street-oriented version of the lightweight dual-purpose platform. Kawasaki’s own U.S. parts, accessories, and service-manual pages list it for the 2009 and 2010 model years only, showing a short, single production run rather than a long-running nameplate. It arrived alongside the updated fuel-injected KLX250 platform that Kawasaki had recently refreshed, but with a motard emphasis that set it apart from the trail-focused KLX250S. In Kawasaki’s lineup it occupied a niche between off-road capability and urban pavement use, and it did not continue beyond 2010.
