This nameplate belonged to Isuzu’s North American i-Series pickup line, a GM-based compact truck built from the Colorado/Canyon platform. The 2007 model year brought a revised lineup, and this variant replaced the earlier 2.8-liter version in the series with the larger 2.9-liter four-cylinder. It was sold only as an extended-cab, rear-wheel-drive pickup and represented the entry point for the lineup’s four-cylinder truck. The model remained on sale through the 2008 model year, after which Isuzu ended its North American SUV and pickup sales business, bringing the i-Series to a close. Because the nameplate did not return after that discontinuation, it had a single, short production run rather than multiple separate eras.
