Indian introduced this nameplate for the 2020 model year as a more upright, retro-inspired take on the Scout Bobber formula. Rather than being a separate platform, it was a factory bobber variant within the Scout family, distinguished by its taller ape-hanger-style handlebar, mid- to forward-control cruiser stance, and a visual treatment that leaned harder into the stripped-down custom look that bobber buyers wanted. The ABS designation simply identified the anti-lock-brake-equipped version of that model.
For 2020 and the years that followed, the bike occupied a niche between the standard Scout Bobber and the broader Scout lineup: still dark, minimal, and low-slung, but with a slightly more relaxed rider triangle and a classic custom-shop silhouette. The model remained on sale through the 2024 model year. When Indian launched the all-new Scout platform for 2025, the earlier Scout Bobber Twenty ABS was not carried over, making 2024 the final model year for this exact nameplate in its original form. Enthusiasts often remember it as one of the more personality-driven Scout variants of the original liquid-cooled Scout era, aimed at riders who wanted the bobber look with a more old-school bar setup straight from the factory.
