This limited-production factory-custom Harley-Davidson appeared for the 2014 model year as the CVO interpretation of the Softail Deluxe, carrying the FLSTNSE designation. It took the nostalgic Deluxe formula and pushed it into the Custom Vehicle Operations range, which the company describes as its hand-assembled, top-end factory-custom line. The model paired the Deluxe’s retro boulevard cruiser character with CVO-specific paint, premium finishes and touring-friendly equipment, giving it a more lavish and collectible feel than the standard Softail Deluxe.
For 2015, Harley-Davidson continued the model with updated styling themes and refinements, again positioning it as a blend of vintage-inspired design and modern convenience. The 2015 launch materials emphasized its convertible nature, with quick-detach touring accessories that could transform it from a cruiser into a short-haul tourer. After the 2015 model year, the CVO Softail Deluxe disappeared from Harley-Davidson’s CVO lineup, which in 2016 shifted to other CVO models instead. As a result, this nameplate had a single, continuous production run from 2014 through 2015.
