Introduced for the 1986 model year, this front-engine forward-control school bus chassis was part of General Motors’ medium-duty truck lineup and was used as the foundation for full-size school bus bodies. It represented a continuation of GM’s long-running presence in the school-bus chassis market, but with a more modern forward-control layout aimed at improving packaging and serviceability for body builders and fleet buyers.
