MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Strada

Fiat’s Strada is the Brazilian compact pickup that launched in 1998 as part of the Palio family. Created to give Fiat a light commercial vehicle with car-like comfort and everyday usability, it quickly became one of the brand’s most important South American nameplates. Early versions offered a simple single-cab format, and Fiat steadily expanded the range with extended-cab variants, then a double-cab body, reflecting the model’s growing role as both a work vehicle and a personal-use pickup. A major second generation arrived in 2020, bringing a thoroughly redesigned body, updated safety and connectivity features, and a broader focus on mixed work-and-leisure use. The nameplate has built its reputation on practicality, durability, and long market life, and it has remained a cornerstone of Fiat’s truck and utility lineup in Brazil.
