Jaguar’s electric performance SUV arrived in 2018 as the brand’s first production battery-electric vehicle and a major turning point in its modern lineup. Developed around the idea of combining Jaguar-style driving character with zero-tailpipe-emission packaging, it was unveiled globally in March 2018 and entered production for that model year, with early market launches beginning soon afterward. In the United States, it was introduced as a 2019 model year vehicle, while other markets saw it reach customers in 2018. Built in Graz, Austria, it was positioned as the first member of Jaguar’s all-electric era and joined the company’s PACE family of utility vehicles with a more technical, cab-forward silhouette than the brand’s traditional sedans and sports cars. The nameplate marked Jaguar’s move into the premium EV SUV segment and became closely associated with the brand’s electrification strategy.
