Lamborghini is an Italian super-sports-car marque founded by industrialist Ferruccio Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese in 1963. Its first production automobile, the front-engine 350 GT, arrived in 1964, while the mid-engine Miura of 1966 helped establish the layout and visual drama associated with later high-performance road cars. The wedge-shaped Countach became a defining 1970s and 1980s design, followed by V12 flagships including the Diablo, Murciélago, and Aventador. Lamborghini also explored utility vehicles with the LM002 and later expanded that idea through the Urus. The brand is known for naturally aspirated V12 and V10 engines, low-slung styling, scissor doors on several flagship models, and limited-production derivatives. Models such as the Miura and Countach became enduring symbols of exotic-car culture. Lamborghini has been part of AUDI AG since 1998 while retaining its headquarters and manufacturing base in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
